Clive Townsend's Saboteur dropped a lone ninja into a guarded warehouse complex by dinghy: find the floppy disk, set the bomb, and get out by helicopter before the time runs out. Guard dogs, security cameras, shuriken, and a building that felt genuinely big and real. I bought it on cassette and it swallowed me whole.

I mapped the entire complex on paper, every room, every ladder, every tunnel. I was so proud of that map that I posted it to Datormagazin, the Swedish computer magazine that printed readers' tips and maps. Then the next issue came, with a Saboteur map in it, drawn by somebody else. What a bummer! I am still a little bitter, which is probably why I remember the game so well ;)
