Ghost'n Goblins

Alongside my ZX81, C64 and Amiga I love the old arcades with my favourite being Ghost'n Goblins so got myself a working PCB. Runs with a 6809 so had a bit of fun tinkering with assembler to help debug an intermittent memory issue that has now been solved, after a lot of work I must admit ;)

The Capcom classic from 1985 remains one of the most challenging and rewarding arcade games ever made. The quest of Sir Arthur against the demon realm is pure gaming perfection — and getting it running on original hardware was a project of pure love.

Commando

Another Capcom classic from 1985. I got hold of a Commando PCB that needed some serious repair work. The board had multiple issues including corroded traces and faulty RAM chips.

After months of careful diagnosis and repair, including replacing several ICs and fixing broken traces, the board is now fully operational. The vertical scrolling shoot-em-up looks and plays beautifully on original hardware.
