Cinemaware's interactive movie: Saxon England after the king's death, four lords fighting for the crown, and you as Robin-Hood-adjacent nobility raiding castles, winning jousts, throwing your weight around the map and occasionally rescuing a damsel with a sword in your hand. It looked like nothing else, even in its C64 form, and it played like a story you were writing.
This is number three in my all-time C64 list. The Amiga version got the fame for its graphics, but the C64 version is where I actually lived it, and it even added things the Amiga original never had, like proper tactical choices in the field battles. Planning campaigns on the map, saving the catapult shots for the wall, and losing the crown to a joust I should never have accepted ;)
